Americas Best Value Inn Clear Lake

This is not a 5-star motel but I give it 5 stars for meeting MY needs. The owners/managers were absolutely wonderful, offering friendly yet professional service & conversation. 1. The SHOWERS & water pressure is probably the best in the country. I have stayed in many places & the showers here are hot & envigorating. 2. Breakfast is free, offering several options. For one example, They offered FOUR different juices. I loved the cranberry. 3. Pet friendly.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Stayed last week room wasn't exactly clean curtains t were half hanging down my comforter was stained all over . Fridge barely got cold. And other guests like to play loud music outside . Went to stay again this week mostly because I like being able to smoke inside after work. Went to check in and realized my company booked for wrong dates so we went online and got the dates changed . Went back.in said they still could not find and despite the fact I had the conformation and receipt they would.not honor. They told me to call hotels.com . So called hotel.com.they said.it showed they had booked me in . The owner said it wasn't true I still wasn't showing up. So I couldn't get a refund because they showed me checked in they had hotel.com on the line and they

Positive: -Waffles in the morning was nice-Evening staff was very nice and accommodating Negative: -hair (not mine) in shower drain, backing up water-candy wrapper (not mine) in bed sheets; likely not clean either-microwave broken in room-could not dial front desk from room (0 not working on phone)-toaster did not work in kitchen

Hotel definitely needs a little TLC. I sadly did not bring air freshener with me. The room size was fine. ||Concerned the pillows were used. Towels did not look good either, fortunately I had a beach towel with me.||Keep in mind rustic and extremely rough around the edges.

We stayed 2 nights. Rooms were clean and hallways and breakfast room. Shower worked great. Front desk help was efficient. Maid help was very pleasant. We stay in Clear Lake every year for family event. We would stay here again. Bedspreads and blankets could use an upgrade so don't expect fancy. Breakfast was a ⁹pretty basic hotel breakfast...waffle maker, hard boil eggs, toaster, etc.
