Americas Best Value Inn Aiken

I was extremely disappointed with my stay here. The property gave off very unsafe, “dope alley” vibes. It looked like people were living there long-term, and the overall environment felt sketchy and uncomfortable. The floors were concrete and visibly dirty. The bedsheets did not look clean, and the towels and washcloths appeared worn and dingy. The entire room looked poorly maintained and not up to basic cleanliness standards. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially solo travelers. It did not feel safe or sanitary. Definitely not worth the money.

I booked a 9 night stay at Americas Best Value Inn, in Aiken, SC for my wife who is a cancer survivor and still suffers from immuno-deficiencies. My wife must have a clean environment as to not get sick when subjected to filthy conditions. She cleaned minor portions of her room with bleach in order to insure her health was not in danger. The hotel owners kicked her out of her room and stole personal belongings of hers including her laptop charger, after only 4 nights and refused to refund the remaining 5 nights. My wife was told by the owner that the funds would be returned to the payment card. Then the owner told her he would not refund the owed money back to us. Positive: Conveniently located Negative: Did NOT have the room i reserved & paid for available. The room i was given smelled terrible!!! No wi-fi service. Owner was rude & would not give refund for the price difference of the room I was actually put in. Cigarette butts all over outside.

Its a work in progress, I do see it coming together though. Very nice owner along with great housekeeping. I've been here for a few months with no problems at all.

Trash employees. $50 deposit for a nonsmoking room just to get into the room and it smells like someone just put out a cigar. The smoke detector is on the dresser, the tub has mold and mildew all around it. Pictures on the floor by the bed. This is the worst hotel I've ever booked in my life. Please don't let the photos fool you like they fooled me. I would recommend this trash heap of a hotel for demolition.
