Carriage House Inn

We have been to Aiken twice before and stayed at the Wilcox Hotel both times. It's nice, but a bit of a walk to Laurens Street. This time we tried the Carriage House Inn and it did not disappoint! Great location: step out the front door and you're on Laurens Street where the shops and restaurants are located. Check in was a breeze and the lady was super friendly. We got a Premium King room in the main house and it was clean, spacious and lovely. Breakfast downstairs in the morning was very good. Pleasant experience and we will be back!

I loved my stay here. It was such a lovely, quaint place. My room was so enjoyable, as was the outdoor porch area and lovely courtyard. It was great to go on foot and walk around town. I had a great dinner at The Oyster Bar and Grill. The staff were wonderful and kind. I would love to stay there again!

This place is amazing. The clerk at the front desk was extremely polite and welcoming. The attendant who made breakfast was friendly and inviting. The downstairs area is absolutely beautiful. It feels like home, and beats any hotel stay. The room was very comfortable and quiet for a good nights sleep. I would highly recommend anyone to stay a night or more, whether local or out of towners like we were. Thanks for a great impression!

What a let down. Second time staying here and this one was a big disappointment. Our room in the Laurens Inn building did not have individual climate control of which we were not informed about beforehand. The deferred maintenance (e.g. shower wall bowed off the wall and lack of hot water) was ridiculous for the price point. The room was just tired and worn out. The one good part was their staff member Keith who was personable and friendly. Ask where they are putting you and if they say Laurens spend your hard earned money elsewhere!

Wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend. Rooms were clean and spacious. Has a nice relaxing bed and breakfast feel we will definitely stay again.
