Americana Hotel Oceanfront

Most of the employees are a bunch of teenagers/early 20s and lacking greatly in professionalism or hospitality for guests. They seemed to be unable to care less about our experience or the experience of anyone else. The only person I noticed who seemed to care was a young girl with reddish hair. She was always working or smiling. The only real adult I saw worked the night shift and said he couldn’t help us we would need to speak to the teenagers on staff who I guess run the place. The standard rooms overlook the dumpsters. When i complained they told me all of the standard rooms overlook the dumpsters. Our room was directly above the dumpsters. We could almost throw our trash into them. The hot water has to be run for more than 15 minutes before it kicks in and there was a bad sour smell i

This place was the “Sanford and sons” of a hotel. We booked the “penthouse” which was dirty, had bed 🛌 🪳, hot water leaks, and had so much sand in bed, must not have changed sheets since the last summer guest. Horrible and horrendous. We weren’t able to even stay the night we booked! Thanks so much for a horrible 35 year Anniversary outing for us!!! 😡🤬

The hotel itself is very nice, we had a few glitches nothing super major but enough so I could not give it a perfect rating. First off we stayed in the "penthouse" its was just a room with a jacuzzi in the room nothing more of less. It was super clean the cleaning crew did a fantastic job. The first night we had no hot water made it impossible to use the jacuzzi or even take a shower. The main reason this is not perfect is the parking, first night no problem we parked in the lot attached to the hotel, the second night we went out to dinner and came back to NO parking. I went inside and they told me across the street they owned those condos. It was 2 lanes of traffic which you had to cross then go down the street and make a left. Imagine having young children. Good room, great location. We stayed in OCMD for one night as a halfway point for a trip and this hotel was cheap and right on the boardwalk. No frills, but it was clean and nice to wake up to the ocean out front. Super close to the rt 50 bridge so easy enough to jump off 113 and spend a night at the beach. Parking was extra but we booked thru Expedia so we only paid $35 for the room-still a great deal.

Absolutely LOVE this hotel. Great location. Very friendly people at the desk. Spacious rooms and clean. Stayed here many times.
