American Inn

These people are so rude! Don't bring children they will kick you out! We have been here for a few days, my son was here one night and we were kicked out. They hate kids! Kids are considered a guest so don't expect your deposit back either. You would be better off sleeping in your car. Not worth the waste!

I am a 60-year-old Lady who had been at my Deceased father's Property in Oklahoma. Living in a camper. The first thing I needed was a working shower.||With my hair full of conditioner the cold water was gon it stops working. I now believe that the faucet handle3e must have been stripped out.||I ended up using the sink to get as much of the conditioner out of my hair. I didn't want to change rooms. Moving my stuff to another room wasn't going to happen.||My issue with the American Inn in Shawnee Ok is with the Owners. It's a family-owned business. with the owners having a difficult time pronouncing the English language. When I was checking out I explained that I had a problem with the cold water for the shower and he just turned his back to me and started to walk away.||I asked them to com

If I could give a lower rating I would. My family was placed here after a house fire and they were extremely rude, each day was an array of new problems, deposits, and then when we had to extend our stay, the said “we don’t want to” leaving us to have to try and find a new place. The rooms are run down so not someplace I would have wanted to stay in the first place but given the circumstances we took what we could get. I’m honestly not sure how this place stays in business.

On a positive note, the Inn accepts pets, and the bedroom portion of the room was clean, well decorated, and had a fridge and microwave. Plus, we felt safe. On a negative note, the bathroom was bad. I mean bad. The proprietor of the hotel told me the room was $58 plus tax and a pet deposit of $10. Well, somehow, the room ended up being $83 and then demanded another $10 for the dog, making it $93. If I hadn't been traveling, I would have kept driving. It's difficult to support a small business when you feel like you've been fleeced.

Owner was looking through our window an hour before checkout while my husband was changing.!! We already regretted staying there bed felt like laying on a board only 3 small pillows for a king bed. We wasn't able to shower there because of the filthy stained shower . We asked for a refund after seeing condition of the room but was denied only given option for another room upstairs worse than the one we were in.
