Ambassador Lake Tahoe

I’m giving this place 1 star only because there is no option to give 0 or -1. My wife booked a room at this establishment on the go while we were driving to South Lake Tahoe, unfortunately without checking other people’s experiences and reviews. The stop here was planned for just one night, so it seemed like nothing truly terrible could happen in such a short stay. Especially considering that we travel a lot and have seen many things: giant cockroaches in Thailand, Tokay geckos in Indonesia, clouds of mosquitoes in Russia, and much more. It felt like it was no longer possible to surprise us with anything. But even one night — or rather, the first half of it — was enough to realize that this is not a hotel, but a branch of Hell on Earth. The room temperature fluctuated between 81 and 83 deg

My experiences at the hotel was excellent from the time I walked into the lobby until I checked out The general manager was awesome the appointment at right directions of food in public transportation the rooms were clean felt safe on the property it was walking distance to the beach walking distance to the casino I would like to thank the general manager for making my stay wonderful Thank you!! If I could give this hotel a 0-1 star I would. It was such a terrible experience for not only myself but for my family as well. And DEFINITELY NOT WORTH the lrice of $400 a night!!!! |Cons: The staff was unprofessional & didn't care if you had an unpleasant experience or not. No one answers the phone. The air conditioning was broken in ALL of the rooms (something that wasn't disclosed to us & we had asked other patrons). Our room stayed at 88° the ENTIRE time we were there - it was cooler OUTSIDE! The vent in the bathroom that was supposed to suck out hot air did not work despite being plugged in. The shower was built for very short people (I'm 5'3 & even I had to duck down under the showerhead so I didn't hit my head). The tub was uneven & at a slant downwards where the faucet was. The fl

No air conditioning and the room was 80 degrees. A fan was available but the office asked me to come down and get it. The window could be opened to cool things but raising or opening the blinds let in so much light from the overhead light outside the door (over which I had no control) that this solution to cooling wasn't viable. The tub has no plug method making a bath impossible.

3 Stars because of location, but beyond that...it needs to improve. $320 for a Saturday night in the summer was way too expensive for a hotel room that we cannot close the bathroom window, no air conditioning, Vizio free TV, pool closed, but you get a discount voucher for the Lakeside Beach, and nobody was in the office at checkout...we just left the key with a housekeeper we finally saw. There was only 5 other vehicles in the parking lot, so this all makes sense as to why the place had vacancy on a night that Hozier was playing a block away. At least we got a concert through our bathroom window that was pointed towards Hozier!
