Alex Hotel & Suites Anchorage Airport

The people here make you feel at home. They are kind, trustworthy, and truly the best people I've ever had at any hotel. Their food is great. Their services are wonderful. They are hard workers. They are helpful. Out of all the hotel we have been to, they have never let us down. My son is in a wheelchair and they treat him well. The location is great. I recommend this hotel. They are much appreciated

I'd give this place a 2.5. Some people said this place is a gem - don't believe them. The rooms were just okay, nothing special, the shuttle driver arrived promptly and it's litterly a 5 minute ride to the airport. The A/C was on but the room was always warm. They were very chincy with the soap, and there is nothing to grab onto when getting into the tub. We had an early check-out so we missed breakfast. From the reviews, we didn't miss much. We were there for only an overnight, and honestly, I would not stay there again. I booked it because it was cheap ($300). It's not the worst area of Anchorage, but it certainly wasn't the best. If you are on the fence like me take my word. Do not stay. Beg bug found after I showered. Rooms looked great but dated. But that is not OK. How can I post pictures i showed from t desk very apologetic but I will sleep out front with the homeless before I subject myself to that. I found a very alive bed bug. The hotel seems pretty rundown despite obvious upgrades to the room. The room was pretty clean. The bed was not comfortable. There were no outlets to charge phones by the beds. I had to plug into the one in the bathroom. The one by the coffee maker requires the light to be on to work. The hotel advertises guest laundry but it's apparently in a building they've closed so not accessible. The location is good if you only have a short layover but being near the airport is far away from everything else to do in Anchorage. The breakfast was decent but only offered orange juice and coffee for drinks. Not even water which we had to ask staff for. Staff were helpful with storing our bags, check in, etc.

1 Star – Charged for a Room I Couldn't Even Stay In (July 28) I had a terrible experience at Alex Hotel in Anchorage on July 28 and would strongly advise others to avoid this place. I was first given a room with dirty, used towels stuffed in the closet — clearly not cleaned. I asked to be moved, hoping for a better situation. The second room was somehow worse: there was an exposed mouse trap, a pill on the floor, and trash behind the nightstand. It was filthy and felt completely unsafe. I chose to leave rather than stay in those conditions, but they still charged me for the night. When I raised my concerns, the general manager was incredibly rude and dismissive, offering no apology or solution. He cursed and hung the phone up on me when I advised i would leave a poor review.
