Rating: 3/5 I stayed at Aiden by Best Western (Long Island City, New York) from Dec 4 to Dec 7, and the total room cost for the stay was $475/night. Overall, it felt like a modern, no-nonsense “base camp” for NYC: good enough to sleep, shower, and reset, but not the kind of place that feels relaxing or special once you’re back in the room. The first impression is stylish and contemporary, especially in the lobby/common areas. The Aiden brand leans into a more “boutique” vibe (social lobby, coffee option, breakfast, fitness center, free Wi-Fi), and you can feel that intention in the design and the overall atmosphere. Positive: Staff professionalism, Cleanliness, Room was always kept vlean Negative: MOST DEFINITELY Parking is an issue. Had to use the adjacent hotel to valet park at $60 plus a night! My ONLY disappointment 😞
Positive: I had to call se real times about heat not functioning. Also was jarred awake by a false fire alarm. Didn’t get a answer from hotel so we rushed down the stairs panicking Negative: Communications
Not recommended. Too expensive and there is so much noise due to there is a electrical factory near the hotel. The hotel service is bad. The criteria change depending the number of persons who stayed during the 22 days we were there.
We stayed in December during high season, paying for three double rooms. They gave us our room when we arrived. Cleanliness and security during the day only were very good. Note: We chose this hotel because there were 10 of us during peak season, and each room cost $1,250 for three nights. First-time visitors should take a taxi or Uber because the area outside the hotel isn't very safe at night. They don't speak Spanish, but I have nothing bad to say. If it's your first time in New York and you want to save a little, you can take the subway (it's a 15-minute walk on the F line), and return at night by Uber. Since I've been to New York several times, two or three times a year, I chose it. The only thing is that they don't have breakfast, but they do sell coffee and bread. They have water an
