We had a great weekend at Lake James! The house was easy to get to from Charlotte. I appreciated that it wasn't remote, you could get to stores quickly. The house had a great set up for our family. There were lots of games in the basement for the kids to play, a hot tub, a fire pit, a tree swing, and a dock. My husband and I had coffee with a view of the lake from the back deck each morning. The beds were comfy and we had plenty of room for our family to spread out into different bedrooms at night. The weather wasn't great when we were there, it was a random cold and rainy weekend in August. We still had a great time with plenty to do, and got outside between rain showers. Loved our vacation here. My wife and two teenage boys had an unexpected 4 day weekend come up and we found this house last minute to book for a lake getaway with other friends we invited. The cove made for a quiet waterfront and the kids loved fishing off the dock and kayaking. We brought our boat and loved exploring Lake James. House was so well put together. Kids were able to get rowdy downstairs while the adults felt like we had our own space upstairs to hang out and play games. All expected amenities were there and you could tell the owners put a lot of thought into their guests’ experiences. We will certainly be coming back here!

From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. This place is the perfect blend of luxury and fun-whether you’re with family, friends, or a mix of both. Nestled right on the lake, the views are stunning especially at sunrise and sunset. We spend morning sipping coffee by the water and evenings around the cozy lakeside fire pit.
