Acadia Ocean View Hotel

Was pleasantly surprised with this stay! Room was clean with a gorgeous view. Bathroom could use a little updating but was not a problem. Breakfast was nice, staff was helpful. Very quiet! Pool was warm!!! A great way to visit the area without breaking the bank - especially in peak season!

I enjoyed the hotel being a little more secluded, however, you will need a vehicle to stay at this location. It is not within walking distance of downtown, which makes transportation very difficult during the third week of October when everything is starting to shut down. The shuttle stopped running on the 13th, which we didn’t know until after we booked our reservation. I can say with certainty, I have never received customer support like we did from Jouvie. He made it his own personal priority to make sure we had a memorable stay in Bar Harbor.

The Acadia Hotel is a quaint motel near Bar Harbor. Our room was clean and updated, bed was comfortable and room was quiet, except for walking from travelers above us. Bathroom could use some updating, shower curtain was rusty and limited space to place toiletries. Maybe a shelf above toilet would help. Views were beautiful of the ocean and trees. Yes, they are limited but still beautiful! Breakfast although limited, coffee, oatmeal, fruit and muffins was just enough to start or day. The one item we noticed most was the cleanliness of the outdoor patio, pool area and deck off our room. We have stayed in other older motels and patios, outdoor areas etc are worn and dirty. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would stay again if we were in Bar Harbor.

We had a great stay at Acadia Ocean View! The other hotel we were supposed to stay at unfortunately “lost” our reservation, but Daniel and his team quickly came to the rescue here when we had nowhere to go. They gave us an upgraded suite, wine, and incredible service to help us navigate our accommodation challenge. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the view was incredible. It was also incredibly convenient to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Thank you to Daniel and his team for their great service!

The hotel is clean. It is conveniently situated between the Acadia campground hotels and Bar Harbor. There are free park shuttles that pass often throughout the day. The ocean view is not much due to the many trees; still a beautiful location. The pool, and outdoor seating is beautiful, plentiful, and relaxing. In the morning there is coffee, tea, yogurt, muffins available. The staff is not very friendly nor quick to help. We requested toilet paper twice, and finally had to walk into the office to get some. BUT the rooms are clean and modern, so I consider it a minor inconvenience for a great location, and comfortable surrounding. The shuttles take you to Hulls Cove in Acadia, and downtown Bar Harbor for free.
