AC Hotel St. Augustine Downtown

It has been just two weeks since grand opening, we stayed at a corner room. Everything still smelled new, even the towels. The rooms have a very modern vibe, big screen tv with a backlit panel, a cozy vibe when watching tv. The shower had a rain shower head type, nice flow of water. The service was great, when it comes to accommodating our requests Marriotts always go above and beyond, this one was no different. The bar had delicious small bites, the drinks were very good. The bartender Jennifer made sure to makes us feel beyond special, she was incredibly accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be back.

Our stay here was very nice. The hotel is only 4 months old. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated. The staff was friendly. There is one thing worth mentioning... The breakfast in the lobby is not included in your hotel cost. Many people seemed to be confused thinking that there was no charge... When actually it was $18 per person! I would suggest that the hotel put some type of a sign up making it clearer concerning the breakfast bar. It was mentioned in the fine print on the menu. We would definitely stay here again. Next time I will bring my bathing suit as the pool is heated!

I just checked in and as someone who has stayed in every hotel in St Augustine area in Marriott portfolio this one is by far the best. It is the cleanest one. The staff is extremely friendly, I was checked in by Emily who was super friendly and made me feel welcomed. I believe this hotel is new because it looks brand new inside. Highly recommend, also great location next to a cool distillery type restaurant.

This is a very nice new hotel with a friendly and attentive staff. The location is great since it sits close to a trolley stop and is within a comfortable walk to the historic downtown area. The price is also very reasonable for what you get. The rooms have a modern design, though that style choice caused the main issue we experienced. The bathroom uses a frosted sliding glass door that does not lock, and from certain angles you can still see inside. This could easily become a problem with kids playing around or someone opening the door without realizing. Because the door is glass, every sound carries and any nighttime bathroom light fills the entire room. The staff at this hotel are truly friendly, professional, and very polite. They always keep a smile on their faces, which makes guests feel welcome. I also really liked the lobby bar area. The hotel appears to be relatively new (at least I had not noticed it before), and overall everything looks clean and well maintained. However, this stay was quite disappointing for several reasons: First, there was no shower gel in the bathroom — the bottle was completely empty. I had already gotten fully wet and did not want to step out to request it, so I had to use shampoo as body wash, which was very inconvenient. Second, the mattress was quite firm. I usually prefer a firm mattress, but even for me it felt too hard. I would guess it may be too firm for most guests. Third, I noticed quite a bit
