Wyndham Garden Baton Rouge

Don’t understand why this place is rated a 2 star. The worst thing about this place was they didn’t have the whole set of complimentary soaps or supply a tons of pool towels for all the kids running around. They also don’t have an ice machine but they have a whole kitchenette in the room. The rooms are super spacious, clean, and smelled good. Breakfast was good and hot! 10/10.

The Breakfast was Great! It was hot and everything was fresh! Thanks Ms Leslie the Breakfast cook and host! All of the workers were nice, helpful and polite. The grounds were nice, clean and neat. The rooms were clean but OUT OF DATE and had a kind of musty like oder. If they do some updating in the rooms I feel would possibly become a 5 star hotel minus all the real fancy extras. Location was great. Right off of the interstate, less than a mile from the Mall and Main event, gas station right next door. 5 miles from Blue Bayou, Walmart a couple of miles away and plenty of eating places in the proximity. Please update the rooms and my family and I can highly recommend. Overall it was a good stay!

Nice hotel, but the carpets are gross!! The room was clean, the bed & pillows were comfy. Had a few issues. I had coffee, tea & setups, but no coffee pot. The front desk had one sent up, but it's missing a part so had to wait for the part to come up. No housekeeping visit on Saturday so I called the front desk for towels, coffee, & to have my trash emptied...they never showed so I stopped at the desk for coffee and towels but I couldn't do much about the trash. The door handle was broken & you had to slam it, extremely hard, to close from the outside. They have a huge, beautiful outdoor courtyard with tons of seating but the only place you could smoke was just outside the main entrance, ya know where everyone has to walk thru the smoke to get in the hotel. The room was a king suite. I was informed all the rooms are suites. The pool was nice and clean, so is the pool area. Even though the doors did not open into a hallway it was still a very secure Hotel. The breakfast was very nice and hot and the workers were very accommodating. I did not visit the bar or the gym. I experienced a fall on my way in due to the sidewalk being uneven and settling. I did not get an offer of assistance. An accident report was provided when requested and the manager was on duty the next morning to walk me through the steps of what I should expect next. Overall I would definitely stay here again

Was not upscale in any way. Needs updating. We had to change rooms because it heater was broke. The maintenance worker was very polite and conscientious. The desk also very sweet. The breakfast was as good as others that offer the eggs, cereal, coffee, etc.
