Origin Hotel Baton Rouge

This was such a disappointing stay. Let me start by saying the hotel had many nice things going for it, a fun vibe, nice rooftop area, great towels and sturdy furniture. However, the front desk staff generally lacked hospitality. I didn’t have hand soap in my room — which appears to be a recurring problem (how?!). When I relayed this to the front desk, I got a shrug and was told to use shower gel. Sorry, but this is a total dealbreaker for me, especially for $200 a night. Hand soap is the most basic of amenities a hotel can provide. My coffeemaker was also broken, which earned me another shrug from front desk staff. No apology, no how can we correct this? Just: too bad. I asked for a water from the fridge to be comped in exchange for these issues and was told no, that would need to be appr

Quite, clean and comfortable. The room is a bit dark, so it would have been nice to have stronger lights. The only thing I would have changed is the chair at the desk in my room, so I ended up opening my laptop by the armchair, which wasn't ideal for working. But other than that the stay was very nice.

Positive: Loved the area. Right next to a police station felt very safe. There was roof top party going on and I didn’t hear anything in my room. Great sound proof walls. Negative: Only dislike I have is the fact I was checked into a room that was not cleaned. Although the front desk helped with that immediately

Had a great stay at the Origin Hotel in Baton Rouge. The location is excellent, really close to the river and convenient for getting around. The rooms were great — clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made the stay even better. Overall, a clean, well-located hotel with a welcoming atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again.

So I had planned on rating this a 5 star stay based on the quality of the room, nearby amenities, and friendly service, but what happened after I checked out cemented it for me. I’d gotten an hour away when I realized I’d left behind a very special item (gift from my daughter) upon checking out. The front desk not only recovered the item, they boxed it up and walked it over personally to the post office, and I received it, safe and sound, 2 days later. Not many hotels would go that extra mile once a guest has left, but this speaks for the level of service at this property. Special thanks to Korey for going that extra mile for me!
