WoodSpring Suites Tacoma - Lakewood

I have stayed here and each and every day has been amazing. It is very secure my daughters felt very safe and comfortable and that meant a lot to me given our situation. Sarah and her staff are very understanding and accommodating to the best of their ability that is allowed. Sarah and her staff are always available and I have come to the front desk at different hours with so many questions and they have answered each one with knowledge and a warm smile and greeting me by name is the most touching. Thank you for your hard work dedication and understanding.

Positive: Well lit and clean. Secure after hours. Negative: The walls are thin, no blanket or comforter on beds. Only recommend this hotel as it is a decent price if you need to be somewhere safe, semi-comfortable and provides a usable kitchen. Good for people who are on the road as it is near highway & transit.

My Family stayed here from 8/3/25-8/14/25 (we departed early) My husband just got stationed here in WA our home was not ready so we stayed here until it was. we found out we could move into our home earlier than expected but before we decided to take up that offer we asked the front desk if we left early could we get a rebate for the nights we were not going to be there in which we were told yes that's no problem. I made sure to double check because we booked 3rd party but opted in to pay at hotel. the front desk lady stated we did not need to reach out to 3rd party that she would handle it. we departed 5 days early and at check out the person who checked us out stepped away to call management to let them know we were leaving early and he came back and said "i was checking to see if there

I reserved a king bed suite three weeks in advance. A few hours before our check-in, they called and left a message to call back. I didn't see it because I was driving. When we arrived, they said they overbooked and they needed to move us to a queen bed. I told them that wouldn't work. They were pretty rude about it as if we were the unreasonable ones for not taking what they had left over. They were pretty surprised when we decided to make alternate arrangements because it was going to be for a full month. The place was pretty run down from the little we saw of it - people smoking in front of the entry and piles of construction materials in the lobby.

Potentially the worst experience I’ve had with a hotel in my life. I booked a king suite over a month in advance, when I got there from a long drive hoping to just relax before driving to Tacoma for thunderdome, i was “greeted” by disrespectful staff while they were also telling me they don’t have my room available. I was downgraded to a queen and also had my price increased so I payed more for less and got robbed of my booking. In the morning the front desk lady offered free late checkout for the “confusion,” when that doesn’t solve anything and only admits that they messed up in the first place. I want my money back, should have slept on the side of the road.
