WoodSpring Suites Rockwall-East Dallas

We checked into the room about 11 PM and the staff that was present was nice but nothing was resolved when we brought up a couple but major issues and were told repeatedly that they would let the management know. ||We booked a handicap accessible room and after checking in found that there was no shower chair or bench. We needed to use one the chairs that were in the room. There were grab bars but no long handled shower heads. We were told, “management didn’t let me know that you needed a shower chair”. ||Later we called to let them know that the bed covers were soiled and gross as you can see in the pictures. We were asked to remove them from the beds to exchange them for new ones. I’m paying to stay, I’m not paying to work. The bed covers zippers were zip tied. We were then told again. I

Convenient location. Terrible gross hotel. Dead roach in the hallway, live roach in the room. Blinds were broken (we had to put a towel on the blinds so no one could see in). The room was dirty. Sheets on one of the beds were stained. The floor mat in the bathroom was damp and had a large yellow stain on it. Everything was put together with exposed wood screws. Parking was easy. The phone was for decoration... it was plugged in and didn't work. The toilet backed up. Not worth it for free... and we paid.

It's certainly A Room ™️. It has an attached kitchen, a TV, and it's VERY sparse. No curtains, no carpet, no lamps, nothing to make it feel cozy at all. Its very spartan. The AC unit looks like it's trying to fall off the wall and the room looks like someone either got beat up in here or beat the crap out of something/someone in here. Random holes in the wall that are badly patched or not patched at all. I definitely wouldn't stay here again, it doesn't feel safe or comfortable in here, but it's a place to stay for a night for cheap, so you get what you pay for, I suppose. The fire alarm is really weird and annoying. It keeps making intermittent chirping noises but as if those noises were underwater? The room is humid as hell and smells really odd.

This hotel was an experience—if you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to sleep on a sidewalk wrapped in a fitted sheet, wonder no more. The beds were so hard I checked to make sure we wasn’t lying directly on the box spring. As for the front desk, the receptionist greeted us like we’d just insulted her family. Checking in felt like begging for entry into an exclusive club we definitely weren’t welcome in. We dared to ask for extra towels—huge mistake. You’d think we asked for her car keys. If you enjoy being uncomfortable and mildly resented by staff, this place is a must-see. Definitely would not recommend and will not be returning.
