TownePlace Suites by Marriott Dallas Rockwall

We asked for a top-floor room because we’ve had several recent stays ruined by noisy guests above us. We did get the top floor, which I appreciated, but the more we travel, the more I learn: we need end rooms too. As much as I love this hotel and will stay again, I shouldn’t be able to hear the man in the next room snoring all night, the woman coughing nonstop, and then—just as I finally fall asleep—their morning routine, clanging dishes, and full coffee conversation. It feels like a privacy issue for everyone involved, and it’s simply unacceptable. We always travel with a lot of stuff and stay anywhere from 4–5 days to up to 3 weeks, so moving rooms (the usual solution) really isn’t practical. The front desk associate did say she would compensate us with points—not that it helps us sleep

The only really good thing about this hotel is the front desk and house keeping staff. They are a great group of very nice and helpful people. They are worth more than they’re getting paid I’m sure. But if you value a hot shower and decent water pressure this place is not for you. The showers are luke warm, there is no water pressure, and the shower wall doesn’t extend far enough and water gets all over the floor. The pillows are flat and I had to go to Walmart (across the street) to get a suitable one. The laundry room is coin operated and yet they can’t make change. The very kind front desk woman tried to call management to get more quarters without response.

Everything about my stay at TownePlace Suites Rockwall was wonderful. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the hotel was very clean, and the room was comfortable with everything I needed. The location is close to everything—restaurants, shopping, and the lake—making it very convenient. I had a great experience here and would definitely stay again.

Positive: Modern and clean hotel with updated amenities. Good location for my needs and very near to external shopping of all types including dinning. Negative: Lots of construction outside makes finding the road challenging.

Very friendly & accommodating front desk staff and manager. My husband is deaf and they ensured we had the room that would best suit us. The rooms are very roomy and clean. Full-sized refrigerator, full-length mirror and large shower were good bonuses. Plus - there is garage parking which kept our car cool during the day. Would definitely stay here again.
