WoodSpring Suites Mesa Chandler

This is hands down the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room smelled like smoke, pets and weed. The floors were sticky like they don’t rinse cleaner off of them. And if you want to sleep - this is not the place for you. The walls are thin, and all the occupants don’t seem to have a respect for noise. The blanket on the bed feels scratchy and is so thin I wouldn’t even call it a blanket. Cops were outside of the hotel most of the day on 1 day - generally- do not stay here! I don’t know how they can get away with charging the same prices as other suites that are actually decent places to stay.

Do not stay here. Neighborhood is not the best. Pulled into the parking lot to find an ambulance and lots of smokers. When I went to check in I was informed I’d have to pay a daily linen fee. This pissed me off because I prepaid for my room and this isn’t listed upfront. Shady. Felt like a bait and switch. Also they make you sign a document saying they can inspect your room anytime and you can’t refuse housekeeping. What kind of mess is that? I know better now. They give you zero utensils for cooking. Zero dishes. You have a fridge, stove, microwave, cabinets and that’s it. This place stinks.

Positive: The hotel was in a convenient location. Negative: All should be aware that most guests are extended stay with MANY children. They run the hallways, cry loudly, and slam the doors. The stay was not comfortable or pleasant.

Arrived at the hotel shortly after 2:00PM. The lady behind the counter had the personality of a badger with a tooth ache. I was informed that early check-in would be a $25 fee. For less than 45 minutes of being early. I could see if I was over an hour. The tub in the bathroom was chipped and cracked. The rest of the room showed aging and lack of maintenance. The two best things about this hotel was they had coffee and hot water for tea in the lobby around the clock and Black Rock Coffee was in the same parking lot.

Upon arrival we were welcomed to a child spitting out the window at my husband parked below, then we went in for check in to be told our room we booked wasn’t available and we had only a king with a pull out bed available, it’s unfortunate because I wanted a extra bed not a couch mattress. Price was the same she didn’t even offer extra blankets and towels for us since we obviously needed more, the fridge had a few left over items from the previous person. So that’s my reason for the one star on the room. The service was very poor the woman had no urgency towards my situation. And upon getting our id back we received a extra woman’s id it felt very racially profiled because we were all the same skin color, also I’m very concerned that she didn’t handle that Better considering that that’s a
