WoodSpring Suites Colorado Springs North - Air Force Academy

My mom and I stayed here for 3 weeks. The staff is friendly and helpful. The place was clean. It was definitely affordable. I felt safe and other guests were friendly or kept to themselves. We just had one minor issue with the doors. They were very heavy and hard to open. For a place that had ADA rooms available the doors made it very difficult for someone who was using a walker or cane to get in and out of the building by themself. Least alone someone in a wheelchair.

WoodSprings Suites is a model that is best suited for the longer term traveler and they provide a minimum needed to make the stay comfortable.||The Good- place was well maintained, clean, relatively new and everything is functional. Front entrance staff was always available and very helpful with the offerings that WoodSprings provide.||The OK – Thin not very absorbent towels. One large bath towel provided per guest. Shampoo and bar soap was enough for a day or two, maybe. Weekly room cleaning so no refresh on towels or toiletries unless requested. No in room coffee or tea. Not a big deal but the coffee in the lobby was burnt and dated. |Overall this could be a good choice for a long term traveler especially if you often bring your own toiletries and maybe your own towels. I'm giving it 3 stars because although it is an extended stay, there is absolutely nothing in the room that will make your stay nicer or better. I should have paid closer attention to the AMENITIES list. When I say there is nothing, there is nothing. The kitchenette and fridge were great, but there's not a dish rag, dish soap, dishes of any kind. We are only staying for 3 nights, and i shouldn't have to buy pots, pans and utensils for such a short stay, with 6 of us a kitchen is a must, so I would assume they would provide the bare minimum...room service is every 2 weeks! How is that possible? Eating breakfast, snacks and dinner with 4 young kids, am I supposed to by a broom and mop too? So I had to use a bathroom towel to wipe up the floors. Joyce, Soyer and David were just Awesome managers! They supported a 67-year-old Senior Citizens who experienced horrible medical care locally. That is me. They supported me in every way they could. I traveled all my 38 years in the Telecom industry. I never met people as kind, generous, WELCOMING! and helpful as these three folks. I grew up on a dairy farm. They made me feel like I was back home - part of the family. I am so impressed with them. NOTE TO WOODSPRINGS CORPORATE OFFICE = You need to listen very carefully to Joyce!
