Woodlands Inn

Used to be a fine dining testaurant and fine hotel. Now its not a restaurant, and not a hotel and all the food is catered from someplace else. Says its a B&B, but priority has it closed mostly for special events that rent the property out.

Went by to see the place my husband and I got married at 36 years ago and was met with a HOSTILE man who told us to get off the property. We are from out of town and saw a billboard advertising the property and there were no signs posted that this was private property or closed. EXTREMELY RUDE encounter. I wonder if the owners know this man is managing the property like this? Who is paying for the billboard advertising and why if patrons are unwelcome? Is this just a set up to make this beautiful place a tax write off? Did they pay this awful man to keep people away? Until management changes, stay away.

I was in town for an athletic camp for my high school son. Daily temps were 100+ with heat indexes over 110+. He needed a place to relax and I did too! Woodlands Mansion was the perfect place to do so! The staff was very interested in our comfort and providing extra ice, hydrating beverages, and towels. They provided food and activity recommendations. Breakfast was amazing - so lovely. The warm staff made a huge impression on my son. Thank you to your hospitality - we won't forget! Next time I want to include my husband! The grounds were amazing! And the pool area was so beautiful. And, the house pup "Dude" complete with bow tie was very welcoming too!

We stayed here over the Christmas Holidays in 2006. Very much enjoyed our stay. I know our neighbors did not as we had our toddler daughter and dog with us. The staff were very accommodating however, and served us all our meals in our room. We were there to see the sites down in Charleston so we were generally only there in the mornings and evening. Beautiful place.

My heart was dead set on this place for my wedding venue before even seeing it in person. I called 6+ times and made myself patient enough to wait for the event coordinator to speak to me on multiple occasions. Never got her. Only got an older gentlemen who just 5mins a go hung up on me because I asked to come one hour earlier to see the venue. Because they only show at 12. Which i live an hour away and an hour earlier would’ve still cut into half of my work day. This man was rude, not interested, stressed out, and would not work with me or pay me any mind. From then on I decided this wasn’t the place for me. If you can’t even set up a time after six phone calls, why would you work with these people for your wedding? It really saddens me because this place would’ve meant the world to me o
