Wooden Boat Inn

Once a ran down small motel until the amazing new owner Pia purchased it and took her time and patience to develop it into the beautiful property it is now. It takes a special person not to give up quickly on something that's broken, she was patient, and saw a beautiful future there. Because she did not give up when the going got tough, the outcome eventually became this amazing boutique motel. Come check it out, and remember that you cannot quit on something you love and are passionate about no matter how difficult it may be. Because it can turn out perfect just like motel.

The Wooden Boat Inn is an absolute gem - quiet, quirky, cozy, and in a perfect location. You can walk to downtown Clayton, the Antique Boat Museum, and more, and it’s an easy drive to the rest of the Thousand Islands. Pia is a wonderful host: she warmly welcomed me and my wife, made sure we were comfortable, and taught us how to feed the chipmunks that run around her lovely courtyard! We will definitely be staying here again in the future!

Terrible experience! This owner thinks it's comical to find a rat at her property! I do not find that funny, as rats breed disease. This property gets zero points in my book for many reasons, including cleanliness. A holiday should provide relaxation and enjoyment, not stress and fear. Location is undesirable. I have stayed at other places in the area that are immaculately clean, updated, well-staffed, and in great locations. This one did not have any of those qualities and was disappointing and traumatic.

Different type of "Inn" to stay at. It is a small lodging facility located in a quiet subdivision with one parking spot for each room and nothing more. My room was very clean and small with no table, in case you have to do computer work. There is a nice setup on the grounds for sitting outside and that is also where coffee is available, there was dinner available within walking distance at restaurant at a marina. Never verbally talked to anyone for reservation all done buy text reminded me of an Airbnb. Not my kind of place and didn't care for the decor.

We had a wonderful stay at this inn! From the moment we arrived, the customer service was warm, welcoming, and attentive. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting—exactly what we were hoping for. Our room was clean, comfortable, had ac, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. It truly felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and well-cared-for place to stay!
