Wingate by Wyndham Chesapeake

It's ok and fairly inexpensive as hotels go. Front desk staff was very helpful. Hotel was a little dirty and worn. The shower head was popped free of the wall and paint peeling. Lots of lipstick on the place. Personally don't care for the buildings color scheme but that is really a non issue. For me it was company selected for proximity and cost. I was only there overnight for about 12 hr. It was fine but nothing to really praise about the place other than price(which was not even my burden) and I do want acknowledge the young lady at the front desk who was very pleasant and helpful.

Positive: Room was clean. Negative: Customer service was not great. We waited for a few moments to check in before anyone came to the front desk. When the receptionist arrived, he wasn't pleasant. He did not greet us and he aggressively asked for a card and my identification.

Property is dated, rooms show lack of care. Mattresses need to be turned or replaced, they are broken down. Elevator works properly but needs some cleaning. Parking is ample. Breakfast is routine, sausage is chicken sausage and overcooked.

THIS WAS THE MOST RELAXING HOTEL STAY IVE EVER HAD I SWEAR THE ROOMS MUST BE SOUNDPROOF BECAUSE WE FELT LIKE IT WAS JUST US IN THE WHOLE HOTEL BECAUSE IT WAS SO QUIET. THE POOL IS HEATED AND THE JAZZUZZI WAS AMAZING. THE STAFF AND OWNERS WERE JUST AMAZING ALL THE WAY AROUND. THE BED WAS SO COMFY I FELL ASLEEP WITHIN 5 MINS AND SLEPT THROUGH THE WHOLE NIGHT. ONE OF MY FAVORITE HOTELS FROM HERE ON OUT!!

This hotel deserves a 5+ star rating. Everything about it is geared toward providing a home away from home for its guests. The lobby is well-lit with swishing, automatic doors, and spacious with a welcoming seating area, a faux-fireplace, a TV that's always on. Several tables and chairs as well as sofas adorn a dining area where a hot breakfast is served every day from 6-9am. Scrambled eggs, sausage, bagels, bread, butter, jam, muffins, water, apple/orange/cranberry juice, with 24/7 coffee and tea are available. The best thing is that even if you don't wake up/too bleary-eyed at 9am, you can still trudge down by 9:30am or so and find something left over for you to warm up and sit and eat while watching the news.
