Delta Hotels Chesapeake Norfolk

We had an office event here and it was wonderful! The service was well done and the buffet delicious. Desserts were heavenly, especially the lemon cake. It was nicely decorated for Christmas in icy blue tones. The staff was friendly, courteous and fun. They blended their table decorations with ours beautifully.

When I read reviews I assume that the great ones are probably paid for and the terrible ones might be people who you can't make happy. But I did make a decision to stay at this hotel based on the reviews on this site and so feel compelled to take a few minutes to write a review. My experience was no where close to the positive reviews posted here (most of which I conclude must have been paid for by the owner or manager). Bathroom was reasonably clean, but the furniture in the room and the carpet was all covered in stains (photos attached). Black out curtains were broken on one side and could not be opened, so limited sunlight experienced in the room during the say. Room wasn't made up after our first night so had to go down to the desk to at least have someone come up with fresh towel

We stayed here for a hockey tournament. It’s a very nice hotel. While very clean, its age is showing in some areas but nothing to deter from booking here. I found the front desk team and the sales manager handling our room block to be very friendly, professional, and accommodating. The lobby is spacious. There were multiple options for food and shopping in close proximity. We don’t get much of a say in where the tournament organizers place us and that has not worked in our favor at times. Our team was very happy with our placement at the Delta Hotel. I can both recommend and return here without hesitation.

We chose this hotel based on positive reviews and stayed here while visiting family over the holidays. After an eight-hour drive, we checked in close to midnight and were initially given a room that was filthy and had non-functioning lights. We were moved to another room, but it was somehow even worse. Because it was late and we were exhausted, we had no choice but to stay the first night. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, with a noticeable sag in the middle even when unoccupied. The sheets did not fit the mattress, and there were visible stains on both the duvet cover and pillows. The blackout curtains had holes in them, the shower tiles had pink staining, and the in-room phones did not work. Beyond the room itself, the overall cleanliness of the hotel was very poor.
