White Sands Motel

It was alright, the bed was comfy enough, the room was clean enough (behind the bed had some dust), the shower was hot enough. The location is easy to get to, the staff was friendly without being fake, you can park right outside your room, and there isn't much noise from the road. It might lack a bit of retro motel charm but it was a nice place to spend the night. I felt safe and comfortable.

Perfect spot to rest after a day at the White Sands National Monument. We reserved the two bedroom, three bed room. It was a great setup to give our teenager a chance to have some privacy on the long road trip as well as give my six foot husband room to stretch out in the double bed. The location is near many restaurants including a Thai place right next door, and a Wingstop across the street. The room was clean and comfortable. It is dated, but I wouldn't expect anything less from the motel experience and I think that it adds to the charm. The owners have added some positive details like a colorful shower curtain, a swing to enjoy the mountain view, and beautiful quaint landscaping. Positive: The cleanliness, great breakfast, location, helpfulness of staff, and the loan of a couple of sleds for a visit to the Sands! Negative: Could definitely use more counter space in the bathroom, not to mention an outlet, but drying my hair in the bedroom was AOK.

Stayed here on our drive to AZ based on reviews. We were not disappointed. Staff were very nice, the room was large and very clean, bed comfy (#24 king bed). A/C had remote and kept room at correct temp. Mini fridge worked well and had little freezer. Highly recommend. Will stay again. It is in walking distance to a few different eateries.

We came into town for my brother’s funeral and decided to book our room here. We are so glad we did! Super clean, very quiet, safe, and exactly what we needed. Not to mention this was the only place we could find a room with 3 beds to fit our family of five. We don’t usually stay in motels but if they were all like this, we would only stay in motels! The housekeeper Bridgette was extremely kind and friendly. The breakfast options were just what we needed… cereal, bagels, yogurt, milk, orange juice, bananas, coffee, water bottle refill, and other small items. The inside and outside are very clean and well-kept. It is obvious that the owners take pride in their motel. If we visit again, we don’t need to look anywhere else for somewhere to stay!
