Hampton Inn Alamogordo

We stayed here late December when visiting White Sands The Good: Overall, the hotel was clean and reasonably well maintained. The room was a good size, and the furniture looked updated. I appreciated the full-size shampoo and bath products rather than small travel bottles. Check in was easy, and the front desk attendant was very friendly and wiping down counters when we arrived, which gave a good first impression. Parking was plentiful at the time we arrived. Shower pressure was medium to good and worked well. Dining Options: There is a bistro within walking distance that appeared very popular. I would recommend making reservations if they allow them. The Okay: The bed was too firm for my personal preference, though some may prefer that. The surrounding food options are mostly chain rest

Enjoyed our one-night stay very much. We arrived late-ish and without a reservation, due to a problem with another lodging, and the evening staff (Bob?) was our angel. Understanding and helpful, he got us into a lovely room with a Hilton Honors discount; we felt like taken care of, big thank you to you. The room was quiet, large, clean, huge spotless bathroom, quiet air-conditioning with thermostat for perfect control, comfortable beds, we slept like babies. Breakfast was delicious and generous. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

Very convenient if visiting White Sands NP. Selected a room on the top floor. There was some road noise but not too intrusive. Overall quiet, didn’t hear the neighbors. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Breakfast area was crowded, breakfast spread was typical of Hampton Inn (nothing exciting or super nutritious except the apples and bananas). Ample parking.

Positive: Good location clean. Hot tub was out of order. Service dog fee is $75 other hotels do not charge. Negative: We had loud guest that partied in the lobby until 12 midnight with small children running up and down the hallway screaming and laughing. The staff was less than sympathetic and rude. Manager did nothing to compensate us

Stayed one night here on a cross-country road trip. Rooms were clean, quiet and desk person was friendly and helpful. Great restaurant within walking distance (Johnny Carinos). Breakfast was good, real eggs and cooked oatmeal (not packages) plus the usual other stuff. Hefty dog charge ($75.00) but not much choice near White Sands, which is very close. Would stay again.
