White Mountain Motel and Cottages

Booking and late check in was super easy and accommodating. The location was great! The rooms are extremely clean and pretty big. Bathrooms were great - water pressure and hot water. Mini fridge was quiet. Lots of outlets to charge. But only 1 bedside table in our room. - the tvs seem like they would be capable of airplay/screencasting if they were on the WiFi so people could stream. (We were hooked into the peacock only side of the Olympics) We look forward to getting a cabin next time with more preplanning booking for a more quiet, personal stay :) The little ice machine room with the games and other amenities was also a great touch!

The only issue here, was the very very very soft mattress. I would have been able to give it five stars otherwise. It was not just soft, but very soft. Woke up in pain soft. Other than this issue. The place was fabulous. Great price, clean, cute, and great location. It seems obvious that the owners care about the property, but if you can't get sleep or wake up in pain that is an issue. I write this in hopes they replace the mattress or at least let folks know ahead. Maybe you have a bad back or are pregnant etc. I would want to know. Again, the place itself is great. But I would not be able to go back.

I recently stayed a night here with my husband so we could visit the Ice Castles, and my only regret is not being able to stay longer! We visited during Valentine's Day weekend, so I rented us Cottage #1, and it was absolutely perfect. It was a comfy, cozy, perfectly themed cottage with all the amenities we'd need and more. I will definitely be recommending it to everyone planning to be in the area, and I already look forward to the next time I can visit! I keep trying to add the video recap I made, but Google's not letting me :(

What a pleasant surprise! When I look for motel/hotel accommodations, I look for a safe area, reasonable price, and peace and quiet in a nice clean room. Why pay for things we do not need: gyms, indoor pools, a greasy, salty "free" breakfast, etc. We have stayed at many motels over the years while attending the NH Highland Games, and while only rated 2 stars, this place was 5 stars in our book. The room was big enough for the 2 of us for the time we spent there, It was very quiet, recently updated, and clean. Check in and out was easy and contactless. It had a microwave, a mini refrigerator, A/C, and a decent size flat screen. We will be booking soon for next year's games.

Every time I come up from NJ I stay here with my kids, we love the cabins. Such a family feel here (I know the family 😁) but I would say this anyway. The owners are always onsite and really genuinely care about their customers experience. Every time I see them they ask me several times “how was everything?” Try staying in little places like this. You will feel the difference
