White Lake Motel and Campground

Worst place I've ever stayed at. The made up their rules as they go. And charge accordingly. 75 cents a scoop of ice. Like really I just dropped 400 dollars and now got to pay for a scoop of ice. They accuse us of smoking in the hotels. Never once was we hell we hardly even stayed at the room at all. No sign saying pets are not welcome or a deposit required on any paperwork did I sign. The second day I was there they come to my room and wanted me to pay an extra $150 for a deposit non-refundable. Cannot walk your dog on the dock or to the beachy area. TV inside the room does not work is stuck on VGA. Come on people do better. and as of the people who stay here yearly very rude and unconsiderate of other people lots of Karen's most of them's guys. I have been coming here for over five years and the owner has always treated us well. It is our little happy place where everyone is just nice and down to earth. The rooms are clean, plenty of fresh towels,and if there is a problem they fix it. I will continue to come here and if you are looking for the Mariott then this is not it, but yet you are treated well and it's the best!!!

Great little Alice if heaven. Everyone was so pleasant and attentive. Felt very relaxed and safe.

We were made to pack up our children and leave at 12am (The middle of the night) because we have a large dog. We paid a deposit for him to stay, and he is extremely well trained therapy dog. A resident of the campground saw me walking him at 10pm, and her dog started barking like crazy, mine did not. I quietly walked him and returned to our room, only to have a man come up to us screaming that the dog was not allowed there. We asked to speak to management because we had already paid for him to be there. Next thing we know the cops are there and telling us we have to leave. We had to pack up our children in the middle of the night and leave because they didn’t like our dog. Unbelievable. They gave us no compensation for the room we had already paid for, or the deposit we paid for our dog. N

My friends and I were here for the first time in an RV with a Golf Cart as our only transportation. The small camp store did not have supplies we needed so we took the golf cart down the road to a nearby store. When they left the property, no one was in the guard house. After about 10 minutes they returned to a rude, hateful, obnoxious man yelling about how we could not drive our golf cart back into the campground and it would need to be pulled in on a trailer. This was ridiculous and unnecessary. The camp sites are too small and close together. Trash is not picked up. If you are accustomed to nicer accommodations when camping this is not the place for you.
