The Grand Regal Resort

My husband had a work conference at the Grand Regal Resort, and we decided to come along hoping for a relaxing stay. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. While the beach area, itself was actually very pretty and peaceful, that is the only positive thing I can say. We stayed in the “waterfront hotel,” and it was anything but grand. The moment we walked into the room, we were hit with a strong stale, musty smell like it had been shut up for months. The room was covered in dust, the trash can was already full of dirt when we arrived, and there were dead insects around the room. We went with Grandma and the kids and everyone had a great time!!!! . Our cottage was small but very comfortable! 2 rooms , a full kitchen with everything you'd find at home, and a family room with TV. Clean, modern, and just a short walk to the beach. Perfect location!!! Close to restaurants, the arcade, water park and shops. The only place we would NOT recommend is the Glass Bottom bar, a ridiculous concept (you have to pay for the privilege of spending your money there) and the service was awful. But the Mexican restaurant and everywhere else's we went was amazing!!!! We can't wait to go back!

I have been coming and staying at Goldston's Beach all my life (47 years) and it started out with my grandparents, parents and myself and now the family is bigger and our friends come as well. This year we had 31 in our group and always have a good time. White Lake is my favorite place to vacation at because it is relaxing, family friendly, and I always have felt safe here. The staff at The Grand Regal at Goldston's Beach are always friendly and will help you with whatever you may need. Thanks for another great year.

We stayed in one of the park model units, which felt like a tiny house - very clean, comfortable, and right on the sand with a beautiful view of the lake. The staff was responsive with towels and housekeeping requests. Location is truly top-tier. We’ve been coming to White Lake for decades and have watched Goldston’s Beach transform over the years. Recent renovations are mostly positive - things are cleaner, more organized, and there’s a clear effort to make it family-friendly. That said, some of the nostalgic charm is gone. The old arcade and rides have been replaced with a more modern waterpark and a ticket-based arcade, which feels a bit more like kid-oriented gambling than the variety of games we loved before.
