Wethersfield Motel

We were incorrectly booked to a smoking room but they fixed it quickly. The room itself was clean and out decent quality for the most part, but the rug was sticky in one area. The bathtub faucet had a slow leak, and the shower curtain was on an old tension rod which fell once. The experience was okay despite all of that and the price was much better than I've seen in a while. It was under $100 for two nights.

Do not waste your time. The room was absolutely filthy, hair left in the shower, sticky floors, burns all over the sink and mirror, and about 20 burns in the sheets. When we took the comforter off not only did it look filthy, but there was a stink bug attached to the underside, so we threw the whole comforter in the corner. Checked the mattress, and sure enough bed bugs were crawling all in the seams. I almost puked. The lady at the front was extremely rude telling us the room was fine and flat out refused to refund us our money. There was nothing we could do since upon arrival she insisted, again rudely, we pay in cash. That was sort of weird, and should have been a tip off from the start. As we were leaving she was arguing with another couple about a refund. Ended up sleeping in the car

Convenient location, good rates. But the room this time was rather poor. There was a smell, the carpet was dirty, and the bathroom wall was starting to fall in disrepair. Last time i reserved through a booking site online, and got a much nicer room. This time i just showed up and asked if they had any rings available. Maybe that makes a difference.

My mother and I chose this hotel because it served our purpose. If you’re in the area for a short amount of time, this place is just fine, cheap and fine place to rest your head. Beds were clean and bathroom was clean too. Lights were a bit dim and could be lighter. Towels were way too small and we asked for an exchange from the housekeepers and they were adamant about getting the previous ones as if we were going to steal them. There is not a do not disturb to place on the door if you do not want your room clean which I personally don’t like. I would necessarily call it a motel because I’ve stayed in places that were horrible compared to that. It’s average.

The Indian woman which seems to be the owner has no manners and as I checked in told me that I have better not be renting the room for someone else...that comment should have told me the type of place this was but I went against my better judgement. The next morning they woke me up at noon banging on the door and demanded I take housekeeping!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND SAVE YOURSELF THE EMBARRASSMENT AND AGGRAVATION!!!
