Westwood Inn Matagorda

Had stayed and stayed at beginning of Nov. much appreciated the yoghurt, milk, orange juice and bread. However the bags of instant coffee in the room was so old and it smelled bad but nothing compared to the smell and the sight inside the microwave oven. White and black molds. I probably will come back and stay one more time unless the housekeeping is not improving.

I am pretty sure the staff and some guest were on the influence of heavy drugs! room was not clean and some guest who looked like they were living there were camped out on the walkways smoking and drinking all afternoon and evening. after we went out to fish and got back in in the evening same people were screaming obscenities at the top of their lungs at each other . TV had no remote so we could not even turn it on to drown out the rudeness . we decided to drive all the way back home 3 hour drive instead of staying the night because of the uncomfortable atmosphere . Lost a lot of money on the hotel and a day of fishing!!!

Not a great place. "Newest upscale hotel" Don't be fooled by their on line ads Advertised Starbucks (nor that i care about the brand)coffee and breakfast .NOPE. no nothing. No ice (machine broke) no service. No room cleaning, no soap, No trash bags.COCKROACHES ( which i did not let them know about) i could have communicated better as each frustration arrived, but I was as i said frustrated. The best part is the staff , they are super nice!!. We requested a late check out due to our fishing trip and they immediately made arrangements for us to be able to check out 3 hours later. This is not a 5 star hotel but definitely do the job. Rooms are spacious, bathrooms had everything we needed to have a great shower before checking out. I would recommend to take your own blankets because bedding is a bit stained. Other than that we are truly pleased with location and the nicest staff!!

It seemed like we were the only one’s There do Little expensive @ $150.00 Since there were not too many other other places. We arrived Late Saturday night to Sunday Morning. We checked inn all went well Till it came time for bed about 2 hours later After checking inn . It was very obvious that beading sheets We’re not changed. Beading under the top Blankets Stained mid range of bed and by end of the feet area was filthy! Lucky we brought blankets from home Due to the late hours . Made formal complaint at front desk The next morning.. - Lady at office - responded -( The Owners are out of the country , Sorry I don’t have house keeping lady’s anymore! There’s nothing I can do!) Bud bugs came back with us from this place ! So good luck sleeping Unser the sheets there!
