Fisherman's Motel

We’ve stayed at the Fisherman’s Hotel in Matagorda several times, and it’s always our go-to when I’m in the area. The location truly can’t be beat—close to the beach and ideal for bar hopping, fishing, or boating trips with dedicated parking directly in front of your door. The rooms are consistently clean and comfortable, and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. It’s a relaxed hotel that fits Matagorda perfectly, and that consistency is why we keep coming back. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Matagorda, I highly recommend it.

We stayed here, VERY charming place!! Very nice staff & nice check in. Real feel of a mom & pop place to stay at. Our room was SPOTLESS!! Soft comfy beds! Had a small frig & microwave in the room. Left our fishing gear out side in our truck. no problems there. Cool little cabana outside to sit & bbq and drink some good beers and chill out. We will be back again & again, when we go back and fish it up on the surf. Thanks for a VERY NICE place to stay at!

Love this motel! We always stay here when we come to Matagorda. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, A/C works great, and it’s in the perfect location; walking distance to restaurants and bars! The owners and staff are super friendly and we can also bring our little dogs. Overall I highly recommend this motel in Matagorda!

The couple that owns this place are so sweet and nice. I was traveling alone and was super exhausted. They let me check in early and the room was so comfortable. Nice hot shower, a cold ac, and a nap. Then back out again to the beach. Love this place and I will always stay here!! Very safe and very comfortable!! 🥰🥰

EDIT: let me start by saying that the service from the young lady on the phone was awesome! She was very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are awesome! I love the one room with the kitchenette, a real home away from home. Full size fridge, oven, microwave, stocked with pots and pans, dishes and silver ware. Definitely more than I expected plus that room has it's very own porch and table. Compared to the rates of the other room this was a deal. Definitely worth the few extra dollars. The beds weren't particularly comfortable to me, I'm a big girl so I require a different type of mattress I guess. The rooms are very private and sound proof which is awesome, we felt like the only people at the hotel. It's limited on rooms but that's what makes this place so great. It's very quite and peac
