The space feels intimate yet open, giving plenty of room for celebrating while keeping that cozy, laid-back vibe. Our experience here was nothing short of magical, and the sunsets are unforgettable. Extremely clean rooms and common areas/ facilities. The owners are very tentative and accommodating. This place is over the top and great place to relax poolside or simply get some R&R after a day/weekend of fishing. Literally walking distance from the marina. I will be booking with the Storm Shack for my future trips to matagorda, without hesitation.

Be sure to ask for the price of the room if you are a fisherman coming to fish for just a couple of nights. The room charge is ridiculous and geared toward corporations bringing their customers who are willing to pay $250 a night to stay in a barn with no windows and no one around to get a drink or pay their ridiculous bill. There is NO customer service and when we tried to call back to get information, no one answered the phone nor were we able to leave a message. Go to Fisherman's Motel and save yourselves some money.

The place is located on South Gulf Road as you are entering the Matagorda main strip. It’s a perfect place for corporate events or charity events or any types of events and parties with overnight accommodations. It’s one of the best places in the entire country for this sort of activities.
