Western Inn & Suites

Went there to stay on Saturday the 11th and my daughter and son and wife left with there full body from legs to, back and also leading to the neck full of bed bug bites , not one or two bites , this was an aggregating amount of bites so room must be infested , I stayed in room 203 so payed 163.61 , I would pay extra to go down to Fairfield Inn or next door if I was you . Refund will take 7-9 days is what I was told

Our company booked this hotel for 2 employees to stay for 2 nights. When they arrived the woman at the customer service desk wouldn't check in the 2 employees without the credit card that made the reservation. I called to request an credit card authorization form so it may be filled out so they employees can be checked-in. The woman at the desk refused and become so upset she cancelled our reservations. I had to find another hotel who had no problem checking in on our employees and emailing the credit card authorization form. I do not recommend this hotel for other businesses; our company has stayed at this hotel over 10 times each time the desk staff have been extremely rude. My husband and I got stranded in town overnight when our truck broke down. Most of the places in town were completely booked. So going down the list we booked here. We called front desk to book, gentleman was very pleasant, he directed cleaning staff to get a room ready. When we got there shortly after calling, the room was ready. Is it fancy, no. Could it use updating, yes. But it was clean, comfortable. No bad smells, no bugs. I was concerned when after booking I then scrolled reviews, I know, but with the shortage of rooms we impulsively booked. Turned out to be not bad at all. We were w/o a vehicle and pleasantly surprised at the places to eat and get essentials within a short walking distance. Overall not a bad experience at all.

We were on a road trip from Rockford IL to Douglas Georgia and we were on a tight budget. On the way down we stayed at some one star places which were based off false reviews. The Western Inn and Suites was an amazing surprise. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out we had a wonderful stay. The rooms were very clean and spacious, in a standard room you have a sitting area with a couch, coffee table, desk and chair and is separate by a half wall is the bed, tv and bathroom. We had a king size no smoking room (the hotel has smoking rooms). We are smokers but we don't smoke indoors which wasn't an issue because it's an open hotel which I mean all rooms open up to the outside. I would definitely stay again if I was in Douglas again. This place is filled with roaches, bedbugs, and has a disturbing smell. We had booked two rooms for two nights with queen beds.upon arrival they told us the rooms weren't available and gave us one room with two twin beds. I attempted to get a solution from the manager at the time but they were nasty and rude pretty much saying it's non refundable and it's not their problem. We were exhausted from our trip and decided to "rest" hoping tomorrow would be a better day. WRONG! It was 3 am and there was noise coming from left to right.
