Holiday Inn Express & Suites Douglas by IHG

My kid had a basketball tournament that was 2hrs away from home and was going to have to play again the next day at noon. We got the room before the tournament on 2/20 and proceeded to go to the game. When we left the game we went to our room and it was FILTHY! The room had not been cleaned at all, the beds were messed up, all of the towels were dirty on the bathroom floor, a bar of used soap was left in the tub and the trash can in the room was running over. I went to the front desk and let her know, the only other room she had left wouldn't accommodate us and she said that was the only thing she could do because all of the housekeepers were gone for the day (it was after 7pm) So we had to take our kids and jump back on the road to head home for a 2hr drive because all of the hotels were

This hotel is extremely dirty. A mouse just ran into my room, and when I called the front desk, they acted completely nonchalant about it. I travel extensively for work and stay in hotels during my assignments. I have been doing this for four years across various states and have never encountered a rodent in any hotel—until now. This hotel needs to be torn down and rebuilt. Absolutely disgusting.

We were very happy with the cleanliness of the room. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were perfect squishy, and the room was CLEAN. We didn't have a lot of interaction with the staff, but what little interaction we had, was very nice. Everyone was very polite and helpful. Loved the Christmas decorations!!! :)+63

This hotel has become the absolute worst experience for me on more than one occasion. This recent incident has taken the cake. My family and I booked this hotel for a funeral. As my daughter was eating her breakfast, specifically her eggs, she was stopped in her tracks by MOLD as you see pictured. I went to the front desk to report this and was told that a manager would be notified and to email these photos to their email address and they would reach out to me. The email attached was the very nonchalant response I received basically calling me a liar and showing zero accountability for the incident. The front desk clerk never made management or kitchen staff aware of the complaint, I was told by an assistant manager when I called after receiving that horrific email response back. The lack
