Western Inn Houston

Well it definitely is a older Hotel. The other guests seemed questionable given the activity that seems to be pretty heavy as far as coming and going. I had to stand outside of my room for about half an hour because housekeeper was not finished cleaning the room with my room and she was definitely not in a hurry.

The place is located on a very sketchy corner right next to the highway. I wouldn't have stayed here alone. The yard (which consists of parking lot) is fenced but the multiple entrances to the floors are wide open for anyone and the front desk has no way to keep up with wether the people around are actually guests or randomly there. The lady working at the front desk while we arrived had a tear tattooed on her face, which wasn't exactly comforting us.||The room was pretty run down but I wasn't expecting much. There was no coffee maker which is a minus but they had coffee in the lobby. The lady working in the morning was really nice and even though we were worried the night was quiet.

Positive: Nothing. Wasn't even a Hotel, was an extended stay apartment and poorly maintained. Negative: Everything was bad! Roaches, security, cleanliness, wasps, stained sheets, TVs not working fully. Towels were hand towel size. Power to ONLY my room went out for over an hour, after complaining three times switched rooms, just as bad.

Cozy rooms there's some roaches but the setting here makes me feel comfortable to be with my kids as a temporary apartment.

The owner here is very kind and helpful, and the staff are also very friendly. Most importantly, the prices are very reasonable considering the prime location. Highly recommended!
