Crystal Inn Gessner - Near Sam Houston Race Park

I was compelled to book given the 9+ ratings on Booking.com and the reasonable price. I was disappointed to find a Motel 6 quality facility, when the price dictated it should have at least been Holiday Inn quality. The motel appeared to have been a Motel 6 (or Travel Lodge or something similar) until only recently when a family purchased it and gave it a fresh coat of paint. Unfortunately, it still feels like a Motel 6. The door to our room wouldn't lock unless we slammed it hard. The motel is frequented by questionable characters who make a lot of noise at all hours. I wouldn't stay there again.

The rooms are extremely nice and very clean. You would think the room had never been used before because of how clean everything was. It actually had good tv channels and shows. It gives 5 star hotel but very affordable. To be right off the beltway in comparison to other chains near, I would definitely pick this crystal inn again.
