West Winds Lodge

There some good and bad- the staff was very friendly and accommodating, great location a very short walk to the small downtown shopping area. Now the bad, the bed I had gotten wasn't very comfortable they had put a memory foam topper but that doesn't help, the accordion bathroom door needs to go doesn't shut well and blocks no noise you can hear everything anyone is doing in the bathroom. The room really shows its age definitely in need of a remodel. Overall if you're looking for a cheaper place right in the downtown area it's not a bad spot but if you can afford a bit more maybe pick another spot.

Our stay was awful from the moment we walked in. The cabin was not clean—there were crumbs in the bed, and the floor was gritty like it hadn’t been swept in days. We had to request new sheets because the ones on the bed looked and felt used. The shower had no water pressure, making it nearly impossible to wash off, and to top it all off, the mark of the beast (666) was scribbled all over the tub—completely disturbing and unacceptable.||The online reviews calling this place “rustic and charming” are completely misleading. In reality, it’s rundown, dirty, and poorly maintained. We will absolutely not be coming back, and I strongly advise others to stay far away. This place is a disgrace.

Great location! Room was perfect size for me, my fiancée, and our two fur babies. The only thing missing was a kitchen table to have for our meals. Otherwise, it was a nice and pleasant experience.

We really enjoyed our stay, the room we got was very cozy and equipped with all we needed. The kitchenette was so useful it had a refrigerator, microwave, stove, coffee maker and filters, utensils, coffee cups. The bathroom also had a great supply of towels, tube of shampoo and body wash. The heater and a/c worked great. Very comfortable bed, tv, table with chairs. The grounds were very well maintained. The short walk to the shopping area was welcomed. I recommend this place for your stay, we will for sure come here on our next trip to ruidoso.

Great room! Even better than the pictures. We really enjoy our stay in West Winds. The room was spacious, clean (the most important for us), and really cozy. Great bed! The pool was under maintenance, hopefully for the next stay will be able to use it. The location can’t be better. The room decoration makes you want to stay more inside. This will be my place to stay in Ruidoso, no doubt. Highly recommended.
