Ruidoso Lodge Cabins

Disappointed with our stay. We reserved one cabin that looked freshly renovated and several other upgraded amenities. We were notified the day of check in at 12:30 that there was a leak in the cabin and they would keep me posted. Check in was at 3 and we still had not heard any updates. I reached out and was told the leak would not be fixed in time. We were given the option of two other cabins and we chose the nicer looking one accounting to the pics. When we arrived the window AC unit accordion part was completely broken and the window was just open to the front of the cabin, that same room has bedding that smelled strongly of mildew to the point that it was nauseating. Multiple light bulbs did not work, the closest were stuffed with extra rolls of carpet so we couldn’t even use one close

I wish I were not writing this, but a room with no functioning heat at 56-58 degrees INSIDE, was just such a horrible experience! Like other reviewers, we have stayed at Ruidoso Lodge Cabins several times over 10 years. We love this Village and wanted to support our fellow New Mexicans by returning after the fires/floods, but do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere where your hosts care about your welfare and want you to be comfortable. Spent 2 hours texting with "customer service" trying to get someone to our room for heat, but with NO ONE ON SITE, which they denied, no one was coming any time soon. Eventually a sweet and harried housekeeper showed up with a bottle of wine we did not ask for or want (we were in town to celebrate a family member's sobriety) and a space heater. I was chille

Stayed in #22 it was absolutely stunning. So clean it was the best experience!! Had no issues at all ! Such a nice place to bring your family

Bad experience. Before booking we asked if the cabins are ever cut off due to the river flooding. We were told no, so we booked. The afternoon we arrived the river was flooded and you couldn’t get to the cabins. I had to argue with management via text message for 2 hours to get them to agree to at least a partial refund. We stayed in a hotel with plans to go to the cabin the following day. We then learned the cabins had no water for cooking, cleaning, toileting due to broken water mains. Again, 2 hours of arguing to get a partial refund. On day 3, repeat of day 2 only this time it was clear that water wouldn’t be restored on any of our 5 nights booked and they finally agreed, after much debate to refund all but $150. We stayed at a cabin on 100 Joe St from Aug 31–Sep 4 and discovered it was infested with bed bugs by day 3. We contacted the owner immediately and never received a response. On top of that, we had to spend extra money and time dealing with the infestation in our belongings and are still covered in bites. Extremely unprofessional and unacceptable experience.
