West Lawrence Hotel

I stayed here on a business trip. I chose the hotel because I could get a cheaper rate as a Best Western member, because I have stayed at other Best Westerns in the past and because they advertised having a bar on site. Check in was very easy and the person at the counter was very helpful and friendly. My room was nice and clean. The bed was not very comfortable for me but I prefer a softer mattress and this one was very firm. One main issue with the room was that there seemed to be a draft from the windows and as it was very cold (about 25°) I had to run the heat higher than I would have preferred. As soon as the heat kicked off you could feel the cold air moving in causing the heat to constantly turn in and off all night. The second issue was with the bathroom and shower. First the door

Absolutely AMAZING facility! The building is practically brand new and very modern. The patios with individual gas fire pits was a very nice touch. Nice view from our room. Our bathroom was fantastic with a big walk in shower and tall overhead shower head! The staff was very friendly and made us feel happy to have us. I highly recommend!

I'm glad I didn't get a hotel in KC! Immediately upon walking in, I could only notice how incredibly clean the ENTIRE place was! The lobby and hallways were nice and toasty, our room was very up-to-par, and the check-in process was extremely fast and friendly. The beds were super comfortable down to the pillows and sheets. One thing I would say could use improvement is the breakfast selection where they could add more options for those who don't eat pork. Other than that, it's been a great stay and I will be returning!

We have stayed here before and really like it. They also take larger dogs. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was pleasant. It is a little out of the way, with no restaurants in walking distance. So, we ordered pizza and had it delivered to the room. The breakfast was continental, with some hot sides but be aware that there were no napkins. Overall, a good experience.

The hotel is newer and nice. Could not accommodate us on adjoining rooms and we were traveling with minors. The bar area was nice perfect for soccer trips. The breakfast would have been okay but as I went to take my first bite I noticed a hair that stretched from my spoon to my bowl. I showed the kitchen staff and although they were very apologetic they still left all of the oatmeal out for others to eat! What!!!???
