The Oread Lawrence, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Wouldn't call this place a 4-star hotel. Rather than bringing a toothbrush to my room after I called down and requested one, they said I had to go downstairs to their shop and buy a mini-toothbrush for more than $4! Also, this place doesn't have robes, which seems like a basic item to provide (at least upon request) at a 4-star hotel. My room was sparsely designed and didn't have much thought into where the towel racks and some other things were installed. The towel rack was installed adjacent to the toilet rather than next to the sink. Overall, service and amenities should be better in order to call this place a 4-star hotel. Location was nice being nearby the campus and close to downtown.

We abandoned our room and went elsewhere. The lobby and halls stank, and one check-in credit card reader went nuts buzzing continuously so I had to use the other reader. Two of three elevators were not working, and our King Condo's icemaker was broken. The guest ice machines are on floors 2 and 4 but the only working elevator had no buttons for those floors. I went to the lobby, and the friendly receptionist went into the kitchen to get ice. Then, because the working elevator could not be called from the guest side in the lobby, she went into the kitchen to call it from that side. Our King Condo cost $1,100 for two nights and had a great view, but there was zero cookware to use the stove or oven in it just a couple of plates, mugs, and glasses and a bevy of empty cabinets, and the living a

King suite with Terrace was $200 a night. I think it was well worth the price for the beautiful terrace space with chairs/overlook view and table. The bed had a weird slant where you laid your head so it felt off, but the pillows/comforter and sheets were super comfortable and clean. The room was very modern, clean, and the bathroom was clean and had lots of extra towels and stocked products. I wasn’t aware upon booking that you had to pay for parking, and check in and check out took 10 mins per. My card was charged $75 for parking, unsure why, only stayed one night. The front desk attendant we had spoke too quickly and I wasn’t able to understand the parking situation, ended up parking in the garage underneath the hotel. A fun castle with a great restaurant! Delicious food and drinks, friendly staff and clean, comfortable, modern rooms. We were upgraded to a room with a patio larger than the room itself which was a fun surprise. Try a Oaxacan Old Fashion and the mac and cheese!

This hotel is one of my favorites! It is unique and has wonderful staff. I had a room with a massive terrace. It had a beautiful view of the entire area. It was perfect for the mornings and started the day off right. The food was great and has a nice bar area. I will definitely be staying there again when I return in the future.
