Webster Park Campgrounds

A fine campground with electrical hook ups, water near your site and a dump station. Most of the sites are shaded. Some of the sites are small, even those marked as "large" on the reservation map (such as #35). It's convenient too, about 20 minutes from downtown Rochester.

This is a smaller campground, say 34 sites, with sites for tenting up to big rigs. Each site has electric, most are 30 amp but there are some 50 amp for big rigs, water is close but you can’t hookup. This is a Monroe County Park. There is no lake access here but there are nice hiking trails and a playground for the kids. Everyone used to pay $25/night but now they decided to charge by the size of your camper. Since we have a 38 ft. Camper, I believe the cost was going to be $45-50/ night. We decided that was too expensive for just an electric site. We’d pay that for a full hook up. They do have public restrooms and pay showers. Some of the sites can be rough if it’s been raining. Decent, small campground. All sites have electric and most were within reach of water. Bathrooms were clean. Showers were probably the best campground showers I’ve ever used. I did not like how I had to pay more for a “larger” campsite for my 30’ camper when many of the standard size sites could have very easily fit my camper. I actually found my “larger” sites to be much smaller than most of the standard sites. We also found that there wasn’t too much to do. There were many hiking trails but none that were particularly interesting. There was a “beech” a mile away from the campground but it wasn’t a beach at all. More like a rocky pier for fishing.

Love camping at Webster Park! It’s become an annual tradition. Large clean sites. Close to Lake Ontario. Supplies nearby. Allows campfires.
