Washington International Student Center

Accommodations are great. The people are great. They even have an oven, which is unheard of in most places. I've cooked very many delicious meals because of that they have an oven and a slow cooker and many other amenities that you wouldn't necessarily expect. All of the negative reviews talk about breakfast and things like that, meanwhile, they are paying $30 a night. It's absolutely absurd. They should feel lucky. They even have that because I stayed at a hostel up the street and they didn't offer anything whatsoever

When I'm in DC for a night or two this is my go to. Why drop $200+ a night for a room where I mostly just sleep and stash my luggage when I can grab a bunk in one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in DC for less than I spend on lunch? Luxury it is not but it is safe, clean, and fun. Not only do I get to enjoy free wifi and an ac in the dorm rooms (there are private rooms too) but the staff is wonderful and laid back and there are always interesting people staying so delightful conversations to be had as well in this completely walkable neighborhood. So many food, drink, shopping, and entertainment options steps away. Always a pleasant stay and one of my favorite hostels stateside.

Very decent for someone looking for a cheap place to stay for a couple of days. Bathrooms and the kitchen were clean enough and the room was well maintained. It's in a very busy location with a lot of bars around so you might hear music through the walls until 2am on the weekend. But the location was good otherwise. It's close to bus stops and not too far away from the subway.

Washington International Student Center is a hostel in a busy area of Washington, basically party area. So it’s very noisy till 3am at least. Check in is till 11pm. The room was spacious and it seems clean with the very basic amenities. There are buses to city center. Toilets were okayish.

Great value for money! Really great hostel. The bathrooms were spacious and clean. The dorm rooms were great - bunk bed was comfy, room in general was clean, AC worked great. Kitchen and communal living room were available for use. Several bus stops nearby and many restaurants and cafes on the same street. Compared to other hostels around the world, it doesn’t have much of a “meet people” vibe. But I don’t think anyone staying there wanted those interactions. DC is not really that kind of vibe in general. A lot of people staying there are transitioning to living in DC, rather than finding people to explore the city with.
