Waikiki Sand Villa

We loved this boutique style hotel. It is within walking distance of many great restaurants and shops although you don’t have to leave as the hotel has most everything! The food was great. Poolside drinks were amazing. Small details like sunblock and aloe by the pool were appreciated. The corner room with a lanai and two sliding glass doors to get a nice breeze was utilized every evening.

The hotel has over the last couple of years been refurbished by new owners. The pool area is now better maintained and has dedicated staff who are present at all times. The pool is large snd nicely situated. The point of difference is the shade provided by numerous umbrellas and some shade trees. There is also bar and food service to your deckchair. The rooms are midsized suitable for two people and have a good sized lanai. Beds are comfortable with plenty of pillows. Bathroom is compact with shower over bath. Room lighting is dimmable and kettle available upon request. A safe is provided. A criticism would be the small fridge, 6 cans, a milk and a couple of yoghurts is about it. This is the best budget end hotel in Waikiki but budget still unfortunately isn't cheap these days. Overall a

Service and staff are great Rooms are not, many parts look like a landlord special coat of thick paint. Elevator makes weird noises, ac can't keep the room cool, door has paint over damage, screen doors don't lock, flooring is warped, bed had blood stains, bathroom toilet leaked the whole time 24/7. Rooms are small, lack any noise insulation too. Its not terrible i mean their weren't any bugs, but the property is charging for a premium they don't deliver.

I booked this because I loved the retro look of the rooms when I was looking online. I felt the price was affordable and it seemed like it had a really cool vibe. I am not disappointed! Friendly service and the view was spectacular from my corner room. Overlooked the golf course and seeing the sun come up every morning was amazing. Thank you! Also, the pool is adorable. ☺️

Everything about the hotel felt effortless. The combined entrance to the lobby, restaurant, bar, and coffee cafe was perfect! Nothing difficult to find and all easy to navigate. Our room had a balcony, with comfortable chairs and a small table. We also had a million-dollar view of the sunrise over Diamond Head. Couldn't ask for anything more! And, the hotel was in a peaceful location.
