Halepuna Waikiki by Halekulani

Our stay at Halepuna has been a wonderful discovery. From the moment of our arrival, we have been treated like valued long-time customers. What has been most surprising is how a peaceful place to stay can also be in the heart of Waikiki with everything you want to see in easy walking distance. It's possible to have the busiest of days and then walk into the Halepuna and find yourself in a tranquil retreat.||||The lobby and common areas are spotless and welcoming and guest services are warm and responsive. There was an evident desire on the part of staff to make our stay something special.||||Our room was pristine and kept that way with daily attention. One notable feature was the whisper quiet HVAC. Excellent hotel all around. We had a toddler with us, and it was the perfect family friendly setting with all the amenities adults want as well. The pool had a nice view, and there was a hot tub. Towel service was easy and prompt, and they had nice umbrellas for when it rained. The rooms were impeccably clean, and they hosted nice holiday events while we were there. The service is straightforward, but they are very responsive and on top of things. I would recommend asking for the slippers because they are sturdy and you can take them home. The ocean view was insanely beautiful!

We had a fabulous weeklong stay at this upscale hotel! Everyone, from the taxi stand to the desk staff to housekeepers, were top notch, friendly, and helpful. We had an upgraded room with an ocean view and balcony, and it was spectacular. The beds are super comfortable, and the room size is nice. The location is just across the street from Waikiki Beach with easy access, and it is close to most local restaurants and attractions. There are also a pool, sauna, and workout facilities, all of which we enjoyed. We did 3 tours during our stay, with convenient pickup from a block away. There is no reason to waste money on a rental car. We highly recommend this wonderful hotel!

Positive: Price of valet parking is better than most hotels and the towels in the beach bag was very convenient. The portable mirror in the bathroom was very helpful. Negative: Need more lighting in bathroom.

tldr get the ocean room I stayed in two different rooms this trip after I extended our initial stay. We started in an ocean view room, which was perfect if not a bit pricey. I asked in advance to extend our stay by a couple nights, but the front desk said our room would be unavailable on the original checkout day but would be free again the following day. In retrospect, that seemed like it could’ve been a system glitch (seems unlikely someone booked the room for less than 24 hours but maybe I was just unlucky), but the receptionist was quick and firm about it, so I didn’t push. Nonetheless I was disappointed to have to pack up and move everything, with no acknowledgment of the inconvenience even though we’re paying a lot already- I thought maybe they’d try to keep our extended stay as com
