Waikiki Monarch Hotel

Rooms are dated but clean hot tubs clean pool area clean ..front staff was wonderful very friendly. Security was in the up and up for the building..stop at the coffee shop coffee and fresh croissants made on site... Skip the store walk over to the 7/11. the food truck across the street are great hit the Brewers pub good food great beer. You will pay to park your car$50 a day. Refrigerator microwave coffee pot in the room.

Even for the price it's not worth it. especially if you are alone, just take a hostel. seems like they make no effort. the room was okay but the windows were so thin. I could hear noise from outside even at 14th floor. the curtains were just poor. there was no proper access to power outlet to even charge my mobile phone. the outlet were unconveniently located at the corner of the room. there was no drinking water even though they charge service fee of $24. swimming pool and hot hot water spa was nice though.

Very positive experience at this hotel especially due to very helpful and accommodating staff. I arrived early at 8am a full 7 hours before check in after 2 flights from Australia. Vanessa and Nicky on reception very kindly found me a room so I could freshen up and get some rest.||The hotel is well located and close to shops, the beach and restaurants. I ate at Waikiki Brewing Company which was very good and over the road from the hotel.||The room was very clean albeit a little tired and dated but as a single night stopover this served my purpose just fine.

Positive: "" Negative: The Airconditioner was like a super jet. I never complain but the Attendant then gave me another room. The second room airconditioner was just slightly less noisy than the first. Noisy doors closing all night. Hard to sleep

We stayed at the Monarch for a week in Feb/26. It was MISERABLE!! The room was outdated, but reasonably clean, so that wasn't the issue. however... Someone in one of the adjoining rooms was going out into the hallway almost every hour, day and night, and smoking weed. STRONG WEED! It stunk up the entire hallway! I called down to the main desk, and they said they'd send up the security guy. We never saw anyone from security. This went on for the whole week. I was getting sick to my stomach from how strong it was. (I smoked for years, so this shocked me!) Some people have absolutely no consideration for anyone else. I guess it's too hard to go outside. And why didn't we leave? Because we couldn't find another room that wasn't twice the cost of this one on such short notice. They make you s
