Vento/Sunset Motel

We made reservations and payed for them days before the date we were going to stay. We were coming from Texas driving and we called an hour before we got there and we were told everything was ready to go and they’ll wait for us there and when we got there they said they didn’t have any more rooms anymore even though we called and payed before time. And they sent us to another hotel that they were not even associated with them that was super ghetto, smelled like cigarette and weed everywhere, there were no elevators, there was never anyone at the front desk, they gave us keys, we put our things in the rooms and then we couldn’t get back in the rooms because the doors didn’t open again ! That happens with all our 3 rooms….. we asked for our money back and they said they couldn’t do anything

Was met by John, who is very pleasant and proud of his motel. Office smelled musty and of stale cigarettes. He took my information and then showed me a room which he said was an older room but still nice, and clean with clean sheets. My husband and I don’t require latest and greatest, but cleanliness is a must. The room did look dated despite John pointing out newer ceramic tile. The room smelled heavily of bleach when we entered. We said it would be fine we were sure as long as it was clean. upon entering the bathroom, I could see the corners and “baseboards” were dirty. After I showered, I used the bath mat to shuffle my way to the bed not wanting to get my clean feet dirty and carry it in the bed. The towel turned almost black. Booked room online only to arrive and be told they are out of rooms. Sent me to another motel stating they would honor that I already paid. I was told at the Hutchi Bell motel that they only have rooms with no AC (mind you it’s over 90 degrees outside). I was told I can’t get my money back for them not having rooms available and that I can’t take it up with Priceline. This place is a scam.

Had a pleasant stay at Vento Hotel in Hutchinson. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything felt fresh and updated. It was a quiet and relaxing environment, which made it easy to unwind after a long day. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, and parking was convenient.

Everything went very well during my stay. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and peaceful. It’s clear that they pay attention to details and that the staff is well organized. I felt at ease from the moment I arrived. Highly recommended.
