Holiday Inn Express Hutchinson by IHG

From the moment we walked through the door, this hotel exceeded expectations! The front desk staff were super pleasant, going so far as to let my mom get ice from the staff only breakfast prep area! The pool and hot tub were perfect, very relaxing! The room was comfortable, and surprisingly quiet! The star of the show, though, was the breakfast!!! Full buffet of hot options, sausage, pancakes, omelettes even! My family and I were blown away by how great the breakfast was, and we will for sure stay here again next time in Hutch!!

Positive: it was close to 1 sit down restaurant and 3 fast food places. Texas T-Bone was literally a 3 minute walk from my room Negative: checked in on sunday, room wasn't cleaned until wednesday, bedding was stained, and reused, showers had lukewarm water, for the amount paid i couldve just stayed at a comfort inn

I was greeted by Natalie who was the front desk clerk, she is certainly the person I would have at the front desk for my company. She had a great attitude and personality. Having stated that all things being equal she would make the difference what hotel I would stay at. Other pros would be clean room, good hotel breakfast, especially appreciate the turkey sausage. Cons, no stopper for the tub (wife likes to soak), no dirty clothes bag, alarm clock was not working, next morning saw it wasn’t plugged In. I may be a little more critical then most because of my work background. I would definitely go back to this hotel again.

This hotel had very comfy beds, which meant a lot! It was clean enough. There were 3 times in the middle of the same night where the fire alarm went off (you guessed it - loud and frustrating)! I realize it wasn’t the hotel clerks fault, however, it would’ve been really nice to have someone from the hotel let us know it was something faulty and NOT a true emergency. Community is always KEY and left us wondering was it a real fire or ??? Esp after the first alarm. Every-time we’d get back to sleep another alarm. ‼️ Again with no explanations from the front desk.

Arrived only to find there was someone else staying in the room they had given me. Hotel was booked. Frustration. Someone else got bumped that hasn't arrived yet. Room was clean but old and outdated. Pillows lumpy. Breakfast staff was very nice just not a lot of seating for breakfast.
