USA Inn

We are doing a Maine coast driving trip, staying at a different place for 1-2 nights along the way. This was one of the best places we stayed! Firm mattress, no carpets, hot shower, good functional WiFi (even though our room was at the end of the complex), refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker - all good. Everything we wanted in a 1-night motel stay. And it included breakfast (which we haven't sampled yet). The room was very clean with plenty of storage and room to move.

The only good thing about this place is the location because Wells is fantastic. We needed something quick for a one night stay and I am still kicking myself for not spending more to stay somewhere better. All photos are from the new building, my room was dirty, had blood on the walls, ceilings and god knows what else on the sticky counters… and they refused to refund me. Oh, and the TV a microwave are completely crooked, nothing is level in there. You couldn’t pay me to stay in this place again.

We were delighted at staying at this hotel. Only issue I had was there was not shower chair. We had a handicap room with a great entrance to it, but no shower chair. Made it a little scary when you can't stand long. There was a free full breakfast. Very quiet area. We could tell that they had remodeled. The young lady who was at desk helped us when an another customer was being greedy with the washer and dryer by not removing their clothes. My daughter was very impressed by her. The price was good for the area. We loved our day in the area, the Maritime Museum was a treasure of a find also.

I've been coming to this place for the past 30 years. First, this place is in a prime location. It's close to everything and it's a perfect in between that will have you within 30 minutes from all the major beaches and towns in southern Maine. On top of that, the owners and staff are some of the nicest and most responsive I've ever met. We had our issues that included sandy sheets, no hot water and an AC that gave up on us. The staff resolved every issue as fast as they possibly could and were apologetic for the mechanical breakdowns that they had no control over. On top of this, the staff kept good communication and even enjoyed some great conversations with us. The children loved this place. Clean, Comfortable, and Convenient! Our stay at USA Inn was nothing short of excellent! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the cleanliness of the entire property. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and everything felt well taken care of. The location is unbeatable—close to the beach, dining spots, and local attractions, yet still peaceful and quiet. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff was courteous and professional throughout our visit. This motel is a true gem in Wells. We will absolutely be returning on our next trip to the Maine coast!
