Tuck-Em Inn

Wonderful, amazing, beautiful, helpful and these are just a few adjectives I would use to describe my stay here at Tuck ‘em Inn. At the beginning of August, finding myself homeless with my 2 year old son and emotional support dog (who is my absolute angel and best friend), was terrifying among many other things, including feeling hopeless and completely lost. Heather, Andy, Cale and the rest of their amazing family were beyond welcoming to us. Each and every one of them showed us nothing but kindness, compassion and love. This family went above and beyond to make sure that we felt welcome, safe, comfortable and not once did they judge me for the situation and circumstances which brought us to their door. This motel is under new management (they purchased a few months ago). I stayed here for a wedding at Ehrhardt's Waterfront Resort. I was really worried at first that this was going to be a hole in the wall. The staff were great from check-in to check-out. They had to move me (king size bed) because of a challenging customer that gave them a hard time (they never told me but I was able to tell by the conversation). The advantage to me was they upgraded me to the jacuzzi suite (queen size bed) at room 7 for my troubles. When I walked into the room I was overwhelmingly surprised how great the room looked and felt (2 photos gives you an idea, other photos had too much of my stuff and would have done this room injustice). We are extremely upset that the owner/clerk didn’t inform us that the water wasn’t safe to drink. This would have been a deal breaker for us as we would have stayed somewhere else. We only found out about the water when my daughter over heard her talking to another potential customer about it after her daughter had already used the water to brush her teeth. My granddaughter ended up extremely sick on Sunday. We were also disappointed to find out that the beds were actually doubles and not queens. However the employees were very attentive when you needed anything and rooms were clean. Tami Ozogar

The stay was not what was advertised. Their site says it offers breakfast which was part of the reason we stayed there and they did not. They also had an indoor pool that was only open from 11-8pm with poor lighting so our kids did not get to enjoy very much. The water we were never told was undrinkable. We did not know prior to checking in and my step daughter, sister in law and niece used to rinse their tooth brushes in and became violently sick the next day. The beds in our room were very uncomfortable and was just two materesses on top of each other on ply wood. We felt like we were falling off the bed all night long. There were no extra toilet paper in the room and most of the time the office was locked with a number to call to have some one come unlock...which there were no phones in

AWESOME!!! We drove up to Hawley, to visit our daughter and family in January 2014. We enjoyed the room immensely. The owners and staff were very friendly and caring. They did everything to make our stay an enjoyable one. The room was clean, and it was decorated with love. We really felt at home! We will be using your hotel every time we visit our daughter. Thank you Tuck em Inn for making our stay a memorable and happy one. We will be back.
