Gresham's Lake View Motel

Gresham’s Lake View Motel is the place my Mom’s family stayed at year after year in the 50s and 60s. The location is awesome, right across from Lake Wally, with their own dock) and next to Chops Restaurant (delicious and a bit upscale for the area) and Wally’s Pizzeria (very unfancy, but also delicious - the Mexican food is good too!). The rooms are absolutely basic - and if you don’t know that in advance, it’s an adjustment. But it sure beats camping (says this non-camper). And the service is wonderful. Amy made us feel at home, helped us in a pinch with our family picnic & bbq, and told us the tales of the resident beavers. Highly recommend!

Greshams Lakeview Motel offers a spectacular view of Lake Walenpaupak which you can enjoy from Your room through the sliding glass doors. Our room had two queen size beds, a microwave, and a mini fridge. The room was spotless! Heating and air conditioning is controlled by you in the room, another plus. Amy, the manager is always on site, and happy help. I highly recommend it!

Had a very pleasant stay at Gresham's. Great location lake across the street. Comfy beds balcony front and back of room with nice view of lake. Amy was very helpful and sweet. Thanks for a great vacation

I wouldn’t recommend for the price, not worth it. We stayed two nights in November 2024. For the cost $90+ per night (and that’s a winter price) I expected better. We won’t be going back. Manager seemed annoyed with us anytime we interacted. I had to call the number on the door to check in and check out because no one was in the office. TV remote batteries were almost dead, so I called to ask for more batteries and extra towels. When the manager came to drop them off, she seemed annoyed, didn’t make eye contact and said nothing to me. Room was very dusty. Got my allergies going really bad. The heat unit sensor was broken. We checked into our room and it was freezing . The heat was off. We set the unit to 70° came back and it was around 90° in the room. Only one of the fan settings on th

We have been staying at Gresham's for years. It is our go to place when we visit the lake. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Eateries, walking trails, visitor center within walking distance. Great sunsets from balcony.
