Another excellent stay at Settlers. I have become a regular do to work assignments. Sue always makes sure everything is perfect as well as the other head woman although I forgot her name. Everyone is super. I had to arrive at midnight and the Inn keeper was up waiting for me. I forgot a sweatshirt and Kevin promptly called me.|Everything is perfect. The room could be a bit chilly so I brought an extra blanket. They have blankets but I likes my own. I have attached photos. Breakfast is included. I stayed a few days. I appreciate everyone there for always going above and beyond. The Weis Pharmacist❤️
Re: Restaurant (not hotel) - This gives a cozy cabin mixed with farm to table kind of vibe. The eating area in the hotel lounge is pretty spacious, with a fireplace and everything, but we opted for take out. Incredibly easy to phone in an order, really friendly and they called back with the approximate pickup time. Everything compacted in a small bag, but (as you can see from my plated pictures) still doesn't affect the beautiful presentation potential of the entrees. The filet mignon at medium rare was amazingly tender, and the roasted squash had the perfect autumn char. The pork tenderloin was easy to slice through, and complimented with the apple butter sauce very well. And as a veggie lover, the bountiful accompaniment was my ideal side dish. We also ordered a French onion soup, wh
nice and helpful reception guys ! Good restaurant. Decorating with Arts and crafts, antique furnatures and warm house environment feeling.
Review is for the restaurant only. Fiancée and I went for dinner. Very nice, cozy atmosphere. Service was great. It was a super cold night, so we had hot mulled ciders, which were delightful. The food is *almost* there. Portions are very generous. But literally every dish we ordered, both appetizers and entrees, was drowning in butter, which is a shame, because it was all very well cooked! I had the salmon and it was cooked beautifully with a perfectly crispy skin, but it was basically sitting in a bowl of butter. My fiancée had the chicken and dumplings and the chicken, again, was perfect -- very moist and with a great crispy skin -- but swimming in a buttery sauce. Just cut back on the butter and you'll have some of the best food in Hawley.
Valentine's Day Dinner!! Menu=. Trash. Server= useless, she had literally no knowledge of the menu, food was mediocre at best, got sat out on the patio, was looking forward to enjoying to pianist. Drinks were wrong. The bill, with tip automatically included = horrendous. The server wasn't worth 20 dollars much less a $55 dollar tip. Dessert was good at least!! I eat at all over around here, and it's been a while since I've been to the settlers, and it will be the last . The juice is not worth the squeeze!!
